Earn CME Through Medical Letter

The Medical Letter on Drugs and Therapeutics has a self-study CME program for healthcare professionals including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and pharmacists to earn continuing education credits. Credit can also be used for Maintenance of Certification points through the American Board of Internal Medicine's MOC program. You can earn up to 52 credits per year through the Medical Letter.

Steps for Claiming CME Through Medical Letter

  1. Go to the Medical Letter through Lane Library
  2. Navigate to “Continuing Education” in the side navigation 
  3. Enter your email address and register if it is your first time using the Medical Letter for CE
  4. After you register, go to “Continuing Education” and enter your email to login
  5. Then explore available exams and read relevant issues
  6. Take an exam associated with the issue you read
  7. Enter your profession and relevant CME codes/association codes
  8. After completing exams, they will appear in the “Completed CME Exams” tab. You also have an option to Print a CME Summary.
