Continuing Medical Education (CME) Resources

UpToDate offers continuing education and maintenance of certification credits for a variety of accrediting organizations including the American Medical Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Board of Anesthesiology, and more. A complete list of UpToDate's accreditations is available on their website. In the Settings section of the CME Dashboard, you can select the CME Credit Type and specify MOC Boards or State Boards relevant to your professional development.

Credits can be redeemed for up to two years after the time the activity was completed.

Steps for claiming CME through UpToDate

1. Go to UpToDate through Lane Library or Epic
2. Login to your account or register for an UpToDate account
3. Conduct searches to inform your clinical practice. Make sure to sign in when you access UpToDate to accrue credit.
4. When you can claim your credit, click on the “CME” next to your name in the upper right.
5. Select credits to reflect on and complete the reflection for each search. Note: You do not need to complete the vendor evaluation form.
6. Download your certificate
