Getting Started

Mendeley is a reference manager and academic social network that can help you organize your research, collaborate with others online, and discover the latest research. It is a "freemium" Elsevier product, offering a free basic plan and a premium service for an additional fee.

Lane Library provides training and support for Zotero to the Stanford Medicine community. No support is available through the library for other reference management tools including EndNote, Mendeley, and RefWorks.

Create an account to access the web-based version of the software

Important: Many Stanford users are having difficulty using Mendeley Cite, the Word plugin for Mendeley. Stanford University IT does not allow Office 365 add-ons including Mendeley Cite. We recommend using Zotero as an alternative.
