Finding Full Text PDFs

You can automatically find full text PDFs through the Lane Library's licensed resources if you have the desktop version of EndNote.

Instructions to Connect EndNote to Lane Library

  1. Go to your Preferences in EndNote. For Windows: Edit/Preferences, For Mac: EndNote/Preferences
  2. Navigate to Find Full Text in the Preferences menu
  3. Insert this link in the Open URL Path box: http://sfx.stanford.edu/local?sfx.directlink=off&
  4. Insert this link in the Authenticate with URL box: http://lane.stanford.edu/secure/login.html

Finding Full Text After Initial Set-Up

After you add Lane Library's proxy information to your Endnote Desktop settings, it is simple to search for PDFs and full text links for anything in your EndNote library.

  1. Select a reference or group of references 
  2. Select the Find Full Text button in the top toolbar or go to References/Find Full Text/ Find Full Text

     
  3. If prompted, log in with your Stanford credentials (SuNet or Hospital ID)
  4. You can see the results of the search in the left navigation panel under Find Full Text. Any references with full text will include a paperclip icon.
