Find Practice Guidelines
You can find guidelines in many other databases including PubMed, DynaMed, and ClinicalKey. Select a database and search for a specific condition or topic (e.g. preeclampsia), then follow the directions for each database to limit your search to guidelines:
- ECRI Guidelines TrustComprehensive database of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines and related documents. Features concise summaries of guidelines based on systematic reviews of evidence; current, evidence-based guidance from key medical societies and organizations; and new scorecards showing guideline quality in terms of IOM standards.
- PubMedSelect "Additional Filters" left of the results, check the box next to "Practice Guideline" then click Show. Now the "Practice Guideline" filter is displaying under "Article Types." Use this to limit your search results to guidelines.
- DynaMedSelect a specific monograph on the topic (e.g. preeclampsia), scroll down in the Topic outline on the left, and click on the Guidelines and Resources section
- ClinicalKeyLook to the left of the results and select the Guidelines option.
