Suzette Shipp has a master of science degree in cell and molecular biology and works as a Life Science Technologist in the Lorry Lokey Stem Cell Research Building. She is a lifelong pursuer of racial justice in the Kingian Nonviolence tradition. She is passionate about the application of data science for improved health and health care outcomes for people of color. Suzette is the founder of Vibranium Health Equity.
Colleen Cuddy has a master of arts in American and English literature and a masters of library science. She is the Director of Research and Academic Collaboration at Lane Medical Library, Stanford University where she oversees data and research services, user experience and communication, access services, and the Medical History Center. Colleen is currently pursuing a PhD in organizational development and change with a focus on gender and racial inequities.
Katie Stinson is a Library Specialist at the Lane Medical Library. She is on the front lines at the library, working for the Access Services team. She is also a core member of the Marketing Communications Team, assists with the design of the Medical History Center exhibits, and provides logistical support for the library's media discussion groups.
This is a media-based discussion group geared toward Stanford Health affiliates, students, staff, and faculty. We meet once a month to explore issues relevant to racism in medicine through the written word and videos. We are always open to new members.
